How can spiritual healing help you in the moment?
Imagine, the latest drama has ended. You are relieved. You exhale for the first time in a long time. Peace starts to bubble up inside of you. You feel good for the first time in a long time for no reason.
But wait, something else is coming into your mind. You begin to feel it. Is it disenchantment? Dissatisfaction? Well, yes it is!
Congratulations you have reached your ceiling for how good you can take it.
Our DNA is eons old and has been trained to not let us relax to much. Relaxation is dangerous. Relaxation means we are not prepared for attack from wild animals, another tribe or an angry mother in law. Our DNA has learned to keep us on our toes and to not trust peace.
When your circumstances are satisfying for long enough your DNA will access your brain to think about what could go wrong. You future trip. Nothing is really wrong, there is no imminent threat yet you imagine the worse. Your peace ends.
Ecker Tolle would invite us to ask ourselves throughout the day “What is my relationship to the moment?” Are you in the moment or not in the moment? Are you aware of your surroundings: the sun on your face, the wind in your hair, the way your pants feel on your waist? Are you aware of where you are standing? How your tummy feels? By questioning whether you are in the moment you are forced to consider if you are in time or in your head in the world of what can be wrong?
So, how is your life? How are you right now? Is life OK as it is? Is there anything really wrong?
As a Spiritual Theta Healer clients ask me where they can find God. My answer: God can only be found in the present moment. What is your relationship to the moment right now?
